| 2007 | Trashion Show at EarthDay event -- ArtNow partnered with ScienceWorks and North Mountain Park to host a fashion show of clothing made with recycled materials. Outfits and jewelry were designed and created by kids and adults in the community. Spamville USA - ArtCars participated in the Spamville Parade in Shady Cove. They won second place! |
| 2006 | Salmonfest at North Mountain Park -- Offered a hands-on paper mache project celebrating the five stages of the salmon’s life cycle. People of all ages participated in the project. Finished artwork was on display in local libraries, public events, and stores throughout the county. Multiculutral Fair at Alba Park -- ArtNow provided an interactive ArtCar booth. Two ArtCar were painted by community members of all ages. Ashland’s Old Fashion Fourth of July Parade -- 20 ArtCars participated, 9 of which were local. ArtNow hosted the Kids Zone area in Lithia Park after the parade. Activities included distribution of sidewalk chalk on the parade route, ArtCar painting, kids crafts, face painting, puppet show, and ArtCar tours. Ashland High School -- WACKO participated in student mentorship of a senior project. Phoenix Green Market ArtCar Workshops -- Hosted a five week ArtCar workshops offering assistance to anyone interested in creating an ArtCar of their own. Six new local ArtCars created! Helman Elementary School -- WACKO conducted ArtCar painting workshop with Gail Buettner’s second grade class. |
| 2005 | Ashland 4th of July Parade -- 22 ArtCars participated, 9 of which were local. ArtNow hosted the Kids Zone area in Lithia Park after the parade. Activities included distribution of sidewalk chalk on the parade route, ArtCar painting, kids crafts, face painting, puppet show, and ArtCars. First Friday Art Walk -- WACKO sponsored an ArtCar awareness ‘happening’ for Firstt Friday Art Walk June 3rd . Student-painted ArtCars and local ArtCars in-progress were on display. Ashland Middle School -- Offered a three day ArtCar Painting workshop. Students painted cars with ‘World Hunger Awareness’ theme in conjunction with class curriculum. Walker Elementary School -- Offered a one day ArtCar Painting workshop. More than 100 students (grade 2nd through 5th) painted cars during their art class time. |
| 2004 | Ashland 4th of July Parade -- 16 ArtCars participated from throughout
the West coast and Texas. ArtCars were on display for the first time
in Lithia Park after the parade. |
